What does independent mean?
Speya applies three tests to itself. Ownership: Speya is not owned by or bundled into a procurement suite or ERP vendor, so its roadmap answers to buyers. Revenue: suppliers cannot pay Speya to be listed, ranked or featured, so results reflect capability rather than marketing budget. Portability: Speya connects to any suite through its API and moves with you if you change suites. These are Speya’s own criteria, not an industry standard. Gartner separately recommends, for supplier discovery: “Investigate AI and graph technology solutions to establish an autonomous supplier discovery process that operates independently from other systems.”

What a suite’s own supplier discovery is scoped to do.
It searches the suite’s own network
Suite discovery generally starts from suppliers already on that suite’s network. Workday’s documentation, for example, says its Supplier Directory holds “all approved suppliers in Workday.” In Speya’s assessment, a supplier that never onboarded is unlikely to surface.
Ownership can change the roadmap
Coupa announced the acquisition of Scoutbee, a supplier discovery vendor, on 6 October 2025. Gartner had named Scoutbee a sample vendor for supplier discovery in June 2025. Speya’s view is that when a suite owns the intelligence, the suite’s own network, roadmap and pricing shape it.

Is Speya independent?
Yes. Speya is built and operated by Findmyfactory AB in Stockholm. It is not owned by or bundled into any procurement suite or ERP vendor, and suppliers cannot pay to appear in it.
Does Speya replace SAP Ariba, Coupa or JAGGAER?
No. Speya is an intelligence layer beside the suite. The suite keeps running sourcing events, contracts, purchase orders and invoices. Speya finds, vets, enriches and monitors the suppliers that flow into it.
How does Speya connect to my suite?
Through the Speya API today: structured supplier records and shortlists your system writes into its own tables. An MCP server is coming, so an agent inside your suite or copilot can call Speya directly. Access is reviewed per integration.
Do suppliers pay to be in Speya?
No. Speya searches official registries, trade and customs data, financial filings, certifications and the open web. Speya sells no listings or rankings to suppliers, so results reflect capability rather than paid placement.
