What does Ivalua do natively for supplier management?
Ivalua covers the supplier lifecycle broadly. Its Source-to-Pay platform runs Intake Orchestration, Sourcing, Supplier Risk & Performance Management, Contract Lifecycle Management and Spend Analysis upstream, then eProcurement, touchless AP automation, payments and external workforce management downstream, on what Ivalua calls “one data model” (Ivalua). Supplier-side capability is split across Supplier Information Management, Supplier Risk Management, Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Issues Management and Supplier Collaboration (Ivalua). Ivalua’s suppliers page states that suppliers pay nothing to join the portal: “No fees. No minimum volume. No worries” (Ivalua); that is Ivalua’s own statement rather than an audited figure. Coupa’s newsroom summary of the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Source-to-Pay Suites lists Ivalua among the Leaders (Coupa newsroom).

Where does Ivalua supplier discovery stop?
As of 3 September 2026 we found no supplier discovery product marketed by Ivalua: its supplier management pages named no discovery feature, no network size and no discovery data source (Ivalua). Reading “no native discovery database” from that absence is our inference, not an Ivalua statement, and in our reading discovery in practice means searching the supplier master you already hold, or bringing in a partner. Ivalua’s December 2020 release announcing a TealBook partnership describes letting customers find new suppliers (Ivalua), and Supplier.io announced its acquisition of TealBook on 2 April 2026 (Supplier.io). As of 3 September 2026 Ivalua’s Open Ecosystem page still listed riskmethods, which Sphera announced it had completed acquiring on 4 October 2022 and later rebranded Sphera SCRM (Sphera).

How it connects
How does Speya connect to Ivalua?
Through the API today. The Speya API is live and access is reviewed per integration, requested at speya.ai/mcp. It returns structured supplier records a system can write into its own tables, and the three calls customers make today are enriching a supplier they already hold, finding the named contact, and pulling ESG evidence with sources. On the Ivalua side that lands through the Integration Hub and the EAI module, which handle REST web services in JSON and XML over AS2, SFTP and HTTPS (Ivalua). Integrations with Ivalua are built on request through that open API, where they make technical and commercial sense; there is no certified or vendor-listed Speya connector for Ivalua and no app-store listing, and Speya does not warrant compatibility with any third-party system. Shortlists also export as spreadsheets. An MCP server is coming so your own agent can call Speya directly.

Does Ivalua have a supplier discovery network?
We found none as of 3 September 2026. Ivalua’s supplier management pages named no discovery feature, network size or discovery data source (Ivalua). In our reading, finding suppliers you do not already hold means a partner or an outside tool. As of 3 September 2026 Ivalua’s Open Ecosystem page listed third-party data partners including Dun & Bradstreet, Bureau Van Dijk, Altares, Ellisphere and EcoVadis (Ivalua).
Can an external agent call Ivalua over MCP?
Not per the public documentation we found. Ivalua’s release for IVA Studio, announced 11 June 2026 as its AI control tower, states Model Context Protocol support (Ivalua). In our reading that support is outbound, with IVA reaching out to other systems, and as of 3 September 2026 we found no inbound Ivalua MCP server a third-party tool could target. Speya’s own MCP server is coming and is not live today.
Is Speya independent of Ivalua?
Yes. Speya is built and operated by Findmyfactory AB in Stockholm, and is not owned by, or bundled into, any procurement suite or ERP vendor. Ownership has moved in this category: Coupa announced its acquisition of Scoutbee on 6 October 2025 (Coupa) and Supplier.io announced its acquisition of TealBook on 2 April 2026 (Supplier.io).
Does Speya replace any part of Ivalua?
No. Speya is not a source-to-pay suite. It does not run contracts, purchase orders or invoices, and it will not replace Ivalua eSourcing, CLM, Spend Analysis or AP automation. Ivalua stays the system of record for supplier master data, sourcing events and spend. Speya supplies the discovery, vetting, enrichment and monitoring layer, and writes results back through the Speya API.
