Why do Zycus teams add a supplier intelligence layer?
Because the Zycus supplier surface is scoped to the suppliers you already have. Zycus’s press release of 28 October 2015 launched the Zycus Supplier Network for collaboration between Zycus customers and “their approved suppliers,” gated by “a robust pre-qualification and approval engine for supplier on-boarding.” As of 3 September 2026 we found no published supplier count for it, and no named supplier database, coverage figure or data source on either the Merlin Supplier Discovery BOT page or the Strategic Sourcing Suite page. Zycus’s technology partners page named Dun & Bradstreet, EcoVadis, Bureau van Dijk and Moody’s Analytics on the same date; in our assessment each of them enriches a supplier record you already hold.
The manual route takes time. McKinsey, in “With artificial intelligence, find new suppliers in days, not months,” writes that “it takes about three months to complete a single supplier search, with a sourcing professional logging more than 40 hours of work.”
Gartner treats this as its own emerging market and calls it Supplier Discovery. In the vendor-hosted reprint we read of the Hype Cycle for Procurement and Sourcing Solutions, 2025, it is a standalone profile, benefit rating High, market penetration 1% to 5%, maturity Emerging. Zycus is a Sample Vendor in seven profiles in that reprint, and we found it in none of them under Supplier Discovery. Gartner’s stated obstacle for the category is the absence of a unified global supplier database: “The market is fragmented.” Its stated advice to buyers: “Investigate AI and graph technology solutions to establish an autonomous supplier discovery process that operates independently from other systems.”
None of this makes Zycus the wrong suite. Zycus announced in January 2026 that Gartner had named it a Leader in the 2026 Magic Quadrant for Source-to-Pay Suites, and a September 2025 announcement records it as a 2025 Peer Insights Customers’ Choice. On the public sources we could read, the supplier records it works from are the ones in your master and your network.

The 8 best supplier intelligence tools for Zycus in 2026
1. Speya
Speya is an independent supplier intelligence platform built and operated by Findmyfactory AB in Stockholm, renamed from Find My Factory on 1 September 2026. A team describes a need in plain language. AI agents search millions of supplier profiles from 250+ data sources, vet candidates against certifications, financial health, ESG and sanctions, and return a tiered shortlist in minutes with sources beside every name. Speya is EU-hosted, with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, and it sells no listings or rankings to suppliers.
Best for: discovery and vetting of suppliers outside your Zycus master and supplier network.
Works with Zycus via: the Speya API, live, with access reviewed per integration, requested at speya.ai/mcp. Integrations are built on request through that open API where they make technical and commercial sense. Records reach Zycus through iConsole, and shortlists export as spreadsheets. An MCP server is coming so your own agent can call Speya directly.
Where it falls short: Speya is not a source-to-pay suite: no sourcing events, contracts, purchase orders or invoices. Speya has no certified or vendor-listed connector and no AppXtend listing, API access is reviewed rather than self-serve, MCP is not live, and pricing is on request.
2. Veridion
Veridion, formerly Soleadify, sells discovery and enrichment as data: a Search API and a Match and Enrich API over a company knowledge graph with product-level, location and ESG attributes. Its own site claims 693 million companies across 250 countries. Tracxn lists Experian Ventures, a credit bureau rather than a procurement suite, among its investors.
Best for: net-new discovery by capability, geography and classification at API scale.
Works with Zycus via: we found no published partnership. Its API into the Zycus SIM vendors endpoint through iConsole, an endpoint we could not confirm on a Zycus source, or a file load.
Where it falls short: you build the Zycus side, and in our assessment Veridion supplies data rather than vetting or an audit trail.
3. Supplier.io, with TealBook
Supplier.io is a supplier-intelligence vendor backed by the venture firm Norwest, and we found no suite ownership as of 3 September 2026. Its own database page states more than 20 million suppliers from 450+ sources, with diversity certification and status. Supplier.io announced on 2 April 2026 that it had acquired TealBook and folded it into Atlas, which the announcement describes as covering “225 million global supplier profiles and verified legal registries.”
Best for: diversity discovery, Tier-1 and Tier-2 reporting, and supplier master hygiene.
Works with Zycus via: we found nothing published. Supplier.io’s named suite route is the SAP Store, so in a Zycus estate it is an API or a file load.
Where it falls short: in our assessment the product line is still consolidating into Atlas after the April 2026 announcement, and Zycus’s own Supplier Diversity AppXtend app already tracks these initiatives.
4. Dun & Bradstreet
Of the vendors here, D&B has the deepest documented Zycus integration in our assessment: Zycus lists it as a technology partner and publishes an AppXtend app that “imports supplier data through the D&B database to generate health reports” and alerts when supplier financial health or risk profiles change. A Zycus press release of 20 September 2019 describes D&B market data, enrichment and credit risk ratings inside Zycus Spend Analysis. Clearlake Capital announced that its take-private of D&B closed on 26 August 2025: generalist private equity, not a suite vendor.
Best for: legal-entity resolution, parent-child hierarchy and financial risk.
Works with Zycus via: a Zycus technology partnership plus an AppXtend app published by Zycus Inc.
Where it falls short: on the criteria above it scores a supplier you hold rather than finding one you need, and the AppXtend app runs against your own D&B licence.
5. EcoVadis
EcoVadis rates suppliers on environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In Zycus it is a listed technology partner with an AppXtend app published by Zycus Inc. that assesses supplier risk scores across those parameters. Its investors are financial: CVC Growth Partners in 2020, then a $500M Series D announced in June 2022 with Astorg and BeyondNetZero as leads.
Best for: ESG qualification gates inside sourcing and onboarding.
Works with Zycus via: a Zycus-published AppXtend app plus the technology partnership.
Where it falls short: on the criteria above it scores suppliers rather than finding them, and its scope is sustainability rather than capability or capacity.
6. Prewave
Prewave, founded in Vienna in 2017, raised a EUR 63M Series B in June 2024 led by Hedosophia, per the EU-Startups report. Prewave describes its AI as reading news, social and public sources in more than 50 languages to detect supplier and supply-chain risk. We found no procurement-suite or ERP investor among the reported investors as of 3 September 2026, and JAGGAER’s partner page listed Prewave on the same date.
Best for: EU supply-chain due-diligence monitoring.
Works with Zycus via: we found nothing published. Its own API or a feed through iConsole.
Where it falls short: on the criteria above Prewave watches suppliers rather than finding them.
7. Interos
Interos monitors hundreds of millions of companies across risk dimensions, and a third-party capability profile records itracing for SKU-level visibility and itariffs for tariff exposure added across 2025 and 2026, with integrations described as primarily API-based. Read the cap table: the 6 December 2021 announcement of the Interos Series C names Accenture Ventures, Coupa Ventures and ServiceNow Ventures among the investors.
Best for: multi-tier, geopolitical and tariff exposure.
Works with Zycus via: we found nothing published. Custom API work through iConsole.
Where it falls short: in our assessment it is a risk product rather than a discovery product, and on the independence criterion above the 2021 Coupa Ventures investment puts it last here.
8. Scoutbee, now owned by Coupa
Scoutbee was, in our assessment, the best-known independent AI supplier-discovery platform in the category. Coupa announced the acquisition on 6 October 2025, describing Scoutbee as “a leading AI-powered supplier discovery platform and network.” As of 3 September 2026 we found no Zycus partner listing, press release or AppXtend app for Scoutbee, and we found Zycus ERP connector pages for SAP, Oracle and NetSuite and none for Coupa.
Best for: Coupa customers.
Works with Zycus via: we found nothing published.
Where it falls short: Coupa announced the acquisition in October 2025, and we found no Zycus route to Scoutbee as of 3 September 2026.
How to choose a supplier intelligence tool for Zycus
Work through five questions in order.
Discovery or enrichment? In our assessment Speya, Veridion, Supplier.io and Scoutbee are the four here that look for suppliers you do not hold. D&B and EcoVadis enrich the ones you have; Prewave and Interos watch them.
Run the independence test. Who owns the vendor? Who pays to be in the database? Can the data leave with you if you change suites?
Check the connection. An AppXtend app shortens the build. An API through iConsole means engineering time and an Application Id. A file load means someone owns a monthly spreadsheet.
Ask for evidence, not a score. A shortlist you can defend in a category review needs a source beside each claim.
Time the first shortlist. Ask the vendor to run a live category before you buy.
Frequently asked questions
Does Zycus find suppliers outside your existing supplier base?
On the public pages we could read, we found no evidence either way. Zycus’s launch release scopes the Zycus Supplier Network to a buyer’s “approved suppliers.” The Merlin Supplier Discovery BOT page markets AI-driven search, and as of 3 September 2026 we found no named data source, database or coverage figure on it. The Strategic Sourcing Suite page says Merlin Agentic Sourcing “identifies both incumbent and alternative suppliers from enriched data,” and we found no description of that data on the page.
Which supplier data providers are built into Zycus?
Four are named publicly. Dun & Bradstreet, EcoVadis and Bureau van Dijk each have an AppXtend app published by Zycus Inc., and Moody’s Analytics appears on the technology partners page. In our assessment each of them enriches a supplier record you already hold rather than finding a new one.
How does an external shortlist get into Zycus?
Through iConsole, which Zycus describes as “the single point of communication between Zycus products and any third party application.” Zycus states that its REST APIs use JSON and need an Application Id from iConsole. A Zycus REST API guide describes a SIM vendors endpoint that creates vendor records, but it reaches us as a re-hosted PDF and we found no public Zycus developer portal as of 3 September 2026, so confirm the path with Zycus.
Is Zycus a Gartner Sample Vendor for Supplier Discovery?
Not in the reprint we read. In the vendor-hosted reprint of Gartner’s Hype Cycle for Procurement and Sourcing Solutions, 2025, the Sample Vendors listed for Supplier Discovery are Altana AI, apexanalytix, Arkestro, Coupa, Fairmarkit, Globality, Graphite Connect, SAP, Scoutbee and TealBook. Zycus appears as a Sample Vendor in seven other profiles in the same reprint.
Does Speya replace Zycus?
No. Speya is not a source-to-pay suite and does not run sourcing events, contracts, purchase orders or invoices. It sits beside Zycus as the discovery, vetting and monitoring layer, and hands a tiered shortlist with sources to Zycus through its API or a structured export.
