On the criteria below, the three strongest supplier intelligence tools for Workday Strategic Sourcing in 2026 are Speya for discovery outside your tenant, Supplier.io for vendor master data, and Veridion for programmatic enrichment. Speya ranks first in our assessment because no procurement suite owns it and it searches beyond the suppliers you already hold.
Nine tools follow: what each does, what the public record said about ownership in September 2026, how it connects, and where it falls short. Two naming traps first. Scout RFP, which became Workday Strategic Sourcing, is not Scoutbee, whose acquisition Coupa announced on 6 October 2025. And Workday describes its Contingent Sourcing Agent as sourcing temporary workers, not suppliers.
Disclosure: this guide is published by Speya, which appears in the ranking. Speya has no partnership with Workday or with any other vendor listed, and nothing here is endorsed by them. Product names are trademarks of their owners. Details about third-party products come from the public sources listed at the end, as of 3 September 2026.
Why do Workday Strategic Sourcing teams add a supplier intelligence layer?
Because the Supplier Directory is scoped to your own tenant. Workday’s user guide states that, where the Supplier Connector is set up, “all approved suppliers in Workday are part of your Strategic Sourcing Supplier Directory unless the connector was configured with supplier group or category filters.” A supplier you have never onboarded is not in it.
The datasheets point the same way. We searched the Strategic Sourcing datasheet dated 26 February 2026 and the Supplier Management datasheet dated 12 January 2026 and, as of 3 September 2026, found no occurrence of “discover”, “supplier search”, “database” or “market intelligence”, and no named external supplier data provider. Workday’s admin guide listed three third-party integrations on the same date: OneTrust for risk screening, Office 365 for document editing and Relish Data Assure for supplier data validation. In our assessment that is validation and screening rather than discovery.
Gartner maps the same boundary. In the vendor-hosted reprint we read of the Hype Cycle for Procurement and Sourcing Solutions, 2025, Supplier Discovery has its own profile, maturity Emerging, market penetration 1% to 5%, with ten Sample Vendors including Coupa, SAP, Scoutbee and TealBook. Workday appears once in that reprint, under External Workforce Procurement. Gartner’s recommendation for the category: “Investigate AI and graph technology solutions to establish an autonomous supplier discovery process that operates independently from other systems.”
McKinsey, in “With artificial intelligence, find new suppliers in days, not months,” writes that “it takes about three months to complete a single supplier search, with a sourcing professional logging more than 40 hours of work.”
How we ranked these tools
Five criteria. The ranking and the notes under each tool are Speya’s assessment against them.
Coverage beyond your tenant. Can it find a supplier nobody has onboarded, or only describe the ones you hold?
AI vetting with sources. Does every claim come with evidence you can open, or just a score?
Independence. Who owns the vendor, and does any supplier pay to be listed or to rank higher?
How it connects to Workday. Mostly generic API or file: of the 20 supplier intelligence vendors we checked, we found no listing among the 902 apps in the public sitemap as of 3 September 2026.
Time to a usable shortlist. Minutes, days or a project.
The 9 best supplier intelligence tools for Workday Strategic Sourcing in 2026
1. Speya
Speya is an independent AI supplier intelligence platform, built and operated by Findmyfactory AB in Stockholm and renamed from Find My Factory on 1 September 2026. A team describes a sourcing need in plain language. AI agents search millions of supplier profiles built from 250+ data sources, including official registries, trade and customs data and financial filings, vet candidates against certifications, financial health, ESG and sanctions, and return a tiered shortlist in minutes with sources beside every name. Every search is live rather than a lookup against a static list, and Speya does not sell listings or rankings to suppliers. It is EU-hosted and GDPR-compliant, with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II.
Best for: finding and vetting suppliers that are not yet in your Workday tenant.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: the Speya API, which is live, plus spreadsheet exports. Integrations are built on request through that open API where they make technical and commercial sense, and a shortlist can then be written into your supplier master or a sourcing event. On the Workday side, Workday’s API documentation publishes Suppliers v1.1 with POST /supplier_companies, and Workday documents EIB as a no-code CSV load. An MCP server is coming so your own agent can call Speya directly.
Where it falls short: Speya is not a source-to-pay suite. It does not run sourcing events, contracts, purchase orders or invoices, so Workday stays the system of record. Speya has no certified or vendor-listed connector, and we found no Speya listing in the Workday Marketplace public sitemap as of 3 September 2026. API access is reviewed per integration rather than self-serve, the MCP server is not live yet, and pricing is on request.
2. Supplier.io, with TealBook and Atlas
Supplier.io announced on 2 April 2026 that it had acquired TealBook and folded it into Atlas, which its announcement describes as covering “225 million global supplier profiles and verified legal registries.” Workday Ventures had backed TealBook across rounds from 2019 to 2021, but we found no listing for either company among the 902 apps in the Workday Marketplace public sitemap as of 3 September 2026. Supplier.io’s Atlas material names SAP Ariba and Oracle compatibility; we found no mention of Workday.
Best for: deduplicating and enriching a fragmented vendor master.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: API or file export. We found no published Workday integration.
Where it falls short: in our assessment it is a data quality layer rather than an engine for finding suppliers you have never met.
3. Veridion
Veridion, formerly Soleadify, is a Bucharest company selling company data by API, warehouse or batch. We checked SAP.iO, Coupa Ventures, Workday Ventures, Oracle, GEP, Zycus, JAGGAER and Ivalua for investment or OEM ties to Veridion and found none as of 3 September 2026. Tracxn lists Experian Ventures, a credit bureau rather than a procurement suite, among its investors.
Best for: programmatic enrichment of supplier records at scale.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: we found no Workday integration, so the generic API or an EIB load.
Where it falls short: someone has to build the path into Workday, and in our assessment it is a data source rather than a sourcing workflow.
4. Relish Data Assure
Relish Data Assure is one of the three third-party integrations Workday’s admin guide documented for Strategic Sourcing as of 3 September 2026. Relish describes it as validating supplier name, address, bank details and tax ID in real time and screening against OFAC, EPLS and LEIE across 110+ countries. Relish’s own announcement of 28 February 2023 describes Data Assure as embedded within Workday, and the Workday Marketplace sitemap lists it as app 423120. We make no claim about who owns Relish.
Best for: validating and screening supplier records at onboarding.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: a documented Workday integration and a Marketplace listing.
Where it falls short: on the criteria above it validates suppliers you are already onboarding rather than finding new ones.
5. Prewave
Prewave, founded in Vienna in 2017, describes its product as reading multilingual public data and turning it into real-time supplier risk alerts. EU-Startups reported a EUR 63M Series B in June 2024 led by Hedosophia, and we found no procurement-suite or ERP investor among the reported investors as of 3 September 2026. We found no Workday integration on its integrations page on the same date.
Best for: risk monitoring on suppliers you already use.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: we found nothing documented. API or file.
Where it falls short: on the criteria above Prewave monitors rather than discovers, so it will not hand you five vetted alternatives.
6. Dun & Bradstreet
Dun & Bradstreet supplies firmographics, credit data and corporate linkage. Clearlake Capital announced that its take-private of D&B closed on 26 August 2025 at a $7.7B enterprise value; Clearlake is a generalist private equity firm rather than a procurement suite. The one route into Workday we found, as of 3 September 2026, is Relish’s D&B Data Blocks pass-through.
Best for: finance-led vetting and corporate hierarchies.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: Relish, indirectly.
Where it falls short: in our assessment it describes companies you can already name, and the path into Workday runs through another vendor.
7. EcoVadis
EcoVadis produces standardized supplier sustainability scorecards across environment, labour, ethics and sustainable procurement. Its backers are financial: the June 2022 announcement of a $500M Series D names Astorg and BeyondNetZero as leads. Its partnerships page named 21 partners as of 3 September 2026, including Ivalua, GEP and SAP, and we found no Workday entry on it.
Best for: ESG scorecards on suppliers you are about to award.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: we found nothing built. CSV or API, do it yourself.
Where it falls short: a score depends on the supplier completing an assessment, so coverage is uneven.
8. Interos
Interos maps multitier supply chain and third-party risk, and in the Gartner reprint we read it appears under Multitier Supplier Visibility rather than Supplier Discovery. Independence is where a Workday team should pause, in our assessment: the 6 December 2021 announcement of the Interos Series C names Accenture Ventures, Coupa Ventures and ServiceNow Ventures among the investors.
Best for: sub-tier dependency and concentration risk mapping.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: we found nothing published. API or file.
Where it falls short: on the independence criterion above, a rival suite’s venture arm joined that 2021 round, which is the ownership question to ask.
9. Scoutbee
Scoutbee is listed here so the ownership is on the record. Coupa announced the acquisition on 6 October 2025 and described Scoutbee as “a leading AI-powered supplier discovery platform and network.” Before that, a February 2024 announcement made Scoutbee Discovery an SAP Endorsed App integrated with SAP Ariba Sourcing.
Best for: Coupa customers who want discovery inside their own suite.
Works with Workday Strategic Sourcing via: we found no Workday Marketplace listing and no documented Workday integration as of 3 September 2026.
Where it falls short: for a Workday team it now sits inside a rival suite’s product line, and we found no Workday route to it.
How to choose a supplier intelligence tool for Workday Strategic Sourcing
Run four checks.
The independence test. Who owns the vendor? Who pays to be in the database? Can the intelligence leave with you if you change suites? The Gartner reprint we read names ten Sample Vendors for Supplier Discovery in June 2025, and two changed hands within ten months: Coupa announced Scoutbee on 6 October 2025 and Supplier.io announced TealBook on 2 April 2026.
The coverage test. Ask whether the tool can return a supplier nobody has onboarded. Gartner’s stated obstacle for the category, in that reprint, is the absence of a unified global supplier database: “The market is fragmented.”
The evidence test. Ask for a shortlist with the source beside every claim.
The Workday test. Ask how records land in the Supplier Directory: Suppliers v1.1, an EIB load, or a spreadsheet someone imports by hand.
Frequently asked questions
Does Workday Strategic Sourcing have supplier discovery built in?
Not beyond your tenant. Workday’s user guide scopes the Supplier Directory to “all approved suppliers in Workday,” and as of 3 September 2026 we found no mention of discovery or an external supplier database in either 2026 datasheet. A Strategic Sourcing Agent listing appears in the Marketplace sitemap as app 852903; we could not read its description, so we make no claim about what it does.
Is Scout RFP the same as Scoutbee?
No. TechCrunch reported on 4 November 2019 that Workday had agreed to buy Scout RFP for $540M; Workday’s newsroom said the deal closed on 9 December 2019, and the product became Workday Strategic Sourcing. Scoutbee is a separate German company, and Coupa announced its acquisition of Scoutbee on 6 October 2025.
Does Workday’s Contingent Sourcing Agent find suppliers?
Workday describes it as talent sourcing. Its Illuminate announcement of 19 May 2025 describes the agent as accelerating temporary hiring “by identifying talent open to contingent roles.” The procurement-adjacent agent in that wave is the Supplier Contracts Agent, which the same announcement describes as reviewing supplier contracts.
Did Workday invest in a supplier data vendor?
Yes, in TealBook. The funding announcements name Workday Ventures in the December 2019 seed-plus round, the $14.4M Series A announced 26 January 2021 and the $50M Series B announced 14 December 2021, and the Workday Ventures partner page for TealBook was live on 3 September 2026. We found no TealBook listing among the 902 apps in the Workday Marketplace public sitemap as of 3 September 2026. Supplier.io announced on 2 April 2026 that it had acquired TealBook.
How does a third-party tool push supplier data into Workday Strategic Sourcing?
Three routes, all from Workday’s own documentation. The Strategic Sourcing REST API publishes Suppliers v1.1, where POST /supplier_companies creates a supplier company and authentication uses X-Api-Key, X-User-Token and X-User-Email headers. EIB loads CSV or XML with no code. Workday Extend hosts a custom app inside the Workday UI.
