Speya’s row describes the platform as shipped. Other rows summarise each vendor’s publicly documented approach at the time of writing.

Three picks first, on the criteria below. In our assessment Speya is the strongest fit if the problem is finding and vetting suppliers that hold no SAP Business Network profile: it is not owned by any suite vendor and searches millions of supplier profiles from 250+ data sources. We rate Veridion the best data feed for discovery at scale, and Prewave the better fit when the gap is risk monitoring.

The list covers eight tools SAP Ariba teams pair with the suite in 2026: what each does, how it reaches Ariba, what its public ownership record showed as of 3 September 2026, and where we assess it stops. Ownership matters more this year, because Coupa announced an agreement to acquire the discovery app SAP had announced as an Endorsed App for Ariba Sourcing.

Disclosure: this guide is published by Speya, which appears in the ranking. Speya has no partnership with SAP or with any other vendor listed, and nothing here is endorsed by them. Product names are trademarks of their owners. Details about third-party products come from the public sources listed at the end, as of 3 September 2026.

Why do SAP Ariba teams add a supplier intelligence layer?

Because native discovery reaches registered suppliers. SAP’s help documentation describes SAP Business Network Discovery, renamed from Ariba Discovery, as posting and matching: a buyer publishes a posting, the network matches it to sellers by category and ship-to location plus the supplier’s own stated preferences, and matched suppliers decide whether to quote.

A supplier without a network profile cannot be matched. SAP’s own ecosystem addressed that: Scoutbee positioned Scoutbee Discovery around finding suppliers outside the network, and SAP announced it as an SAP Endorsed App on 21 February 2024. There is a supplier-side cost layer too. SAP’s supplier pricing page and SAP Learning material describe Standard accounts as free with unlimited document transactions, while Enterprise accounts add a subscription fee plus a transaction fee of 0.155% to 0.35% of transaction value, with an annual cap of $20,000 for each buyer relationship.

None of this makes Ariba the wrong suite. SAP News announced Next-Gen SAP Ariba, a phased rebuild on SAP Business Technology Platform, from February 2026, and ERP Today reports Joule agents including a Sourcing Event Agent that shortlists suppliers. The point is narrower, and it is ours: the supplier universe Discovery can match is the one registered with SAP.

How we ranked these tools

Five criteria, in this order. The ranking and the notes under each entry are Speya’s editorial assessment against them.

  1. Coverage beyond the network. Can it find a supplier with no SAP Business Network profile?

  2. AI vetting with sources. Does it show the evidence behind a claim, or only a score?

  3. Independence. Who owns it, who invested, and do suppliers pay to appear?

  4. How it connects to SAP Ariba. SAP Store listing, Endorsed App, documented API, or a file load you build.

  5. Time to a usable shortlist. Weeks of configuration, or minutes from a plain-language brief.

The 8 best supplier intelligence tools for SAP Ariba in 2026

1. Speya

Speya is an independent supplier intelligence platform built by Findmyfactory AB in Stockholm, renamed from Find My Factory on 1 September 2026. Describe a sourcing need in plain language and its AI agents search millions of supplier profiles from 250+ data sources, vet candidates against certifications, financial health, ESG and sanctions, and return a tiered shortlist in minutes with sources beside every name. Speya is EU-hosted, holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, and sells no listings or rankings to suppliers.

Best for: off-network discovery and enrichment for teams that want the intelligence layer independent of the suite.

Works with SAP Ariba via: the Speya API, live with access reviewed per integration at speya.ai/mcp. Integrations are built on request, where they make technical and commercial sense: the API returns structured supplier records that a custom integration can write into Supplier Lifecycle and Performance through SAP’s Supplier Data API with Pagination. An MCP server is coming.

Where it falls short: Speya is not a source-to-pay suite. It runs no sourcing events, contracts, purchase orders or invoices. There is no certified or vendor-listed connector and no SAP Store listing, API access is reviewed, the MCP server is not live, and pricing is on request.

2. Veridion

Veridion, formerly Soleadify, is a Bucharest company founded in 2019 that sells discovery and enrichment as data: a natural-language Search API and a Match and Enrich API. Its certified listing on the Coupa App Marketplace states 129 million global suppliers with weekly updates. We found no procurement-suite or ERP investor among its backers as of 3 September 2026.

Best for: discovery and enrichment at data-feed scale, where your team owns the workflow.

Works with SAP Ariba via: its own APIs or a file load. We found no SAP Store listing or documented Ariba integration as of 3 September 2026.

Where it falls short: in our assessment you build the Ariba side yourself, and the product is a data feed rather than a vetting workflow with an audit trail.

3. Prewave

Prewave, founded in Vienna in 2017, raised a EUR 63M Series B in June 2024 led by Hedosophia, per EU-Startups. The JAGGAER and Prewave partnership release describes Prewave’s AI as monitoring millions of public sources across 140+ risk categories and 50+ languages, including CSDDD and UFLPA signals. We found no procurement-suite investor on its cap table as of 3 September 2026.

Best for: real-time risk and compliance alerting across a supplier base you already hold.

Works with SAP Ariba via: Prewave’s own SAP Ariba Integration Service, middleware its documentation describes as pushing risk scores into Ariba.

Where it falls short: in our assessment Prewave is built to watch suppliers rather than find them; we found no capability search for an unknown supplier in its published material as of 3 September 2026.

4. EcoVadis

EcoVadis Business Sustainability Ratings for SAP Ariba was announced as an SAP Endorsed App on 1 November 2022, surfacing scorecards, sub-scores and 360 Watch adverse-media monitoring inside SAP Ariba Supplier Risk. We found only financial investors, most recently a $500M Series D announced on 14 June 2022 led by Astorg and BeyondNetZero.

Best for: ESG scoring inside an existing Supplier Risk workflow.

Works with SAP Ariba via: an SAP Endorsed App on SAP Store, embedded in Supplier Risk.

Where it falls short: in our assessment EcoVadis scores named suppliers rather than discovering new ones, and its scope is sustainability rather than manufacturing capability.

5. Dun & Bradstreet

In our assessment Dun & Bradstreet is the most suite-embedded data vendor in this set. Its own SAP Ariba partner page describes D&B as the enrichment service behind SAP Business Network supplier profiles, matched on national business ID, VAT ID or TIN, and SAP lists D&B Direct for SAP Ariba Supplier Risk. Clearlake Capital’s announcement states that it completed the take-private of Dun & Bradstreet on 26 August 2025 at a $7.7B enterprise value. Clearlake is generalist private equity, not a suite vendor.

Best for: legal-entity identity, DUNS numbers and firmographic verification at onboarding.

Works with SAP Ariba via: a longstanding SAP Ariba data partnership and the D&B Direct listing for Supplier Risk.

Where it falls short: D&B data already reaches network enrichment, so check what your tenant receives before buying separately. In our assessment it resolves identity rather than capability.

6. Interos

Interos sells AI supply-chain risk intelligence across financial, geopolitical, cyber and ESG dimensions and states coverage of more than 230 million entities. Its SAP Store listing embeds that intelligence into SAP Ariba Supplier Risk workflows, built on SAP Business Technology Platform. Note the funding record: the Series C announced on 6 December 2021 brought in Coupa Ventures alongside Accenture Ventures and ServiceNow Ventures.

Best for: multi-tier risk monitoring beyond your direct suppliers.

Works with SAP Ariba via: an SAP Store listing embedded in Supplier Risk.

Where it falls short: in our assessment it is a risk product rather than a discovery product, and on our independence criterion the Coupa Ventures participation in that round is what a buyer should weigh.

7. Supplier.io, with TealBook

Supplier.io states that it enriches supplier data against a database of more than 4 million diverse certifications, and it holds an SAP Store listing as an SAP PartnerEdge partner. On 2 April 2026 it announced the acquisition of TealBook, saying it would fold TealBook into a new vendor-master-data product called Atlas. TealBook’s own SAP Store listing was announced in October 2022.

Best for: supplier master-data cleanup, entity resolution and diversity reporting around Ariba SLP.

Works with SAP Ariba via: SAP Store listings for both products, integrated with SLP, Supplier Risk and Buying.

Where it falls short: Supplier.io has announced a consolidation into Atlas, so confirm which integration you are buying. In our assessment neither product is positioned as a discovery engine.

8. Scoutbee, after Coupa’s acquisition announcement

In our assessment Scoutbee was the strongest off-network discovery option available inside Ariba. The SAP partnership was announced on 9 October 2023: Scoutbee Discovery integrated with SAP Ariba Sourcing so newly discovered suppliers could be pulled into a live sourcing event, filtered on sustainability, diversity, cost and risk. SAP announced it as an SAP Endorsed App on 21 February 2024. Coupa announced an agreement to acquire Scoutbee on 6 October 2025.

Best for: Coupa customers, given that Coupa’s announcement describes folding Scoutbee into its own products.

Works with SAP Ariba via: the SAP Endorsed App listing announced in February 2024.

Where it falls short: ownership. Coupa’s announcement describes Scoutbee’s search, dataset and collaboration tools moving into Coupa Sourcing, Contracts, source-to-pay and the Coupa Supplier Portal. If you run SAP Ariba, ask Coupa and SAP what that means for the SAP Store listing and the support commitment before signing a multi-year deal.

How to choose a supplier intelligence tool for SAP Ariba

Work through five questions in order.

  1. Discovery or monitoring? On the criteria above we judged only Speya, Veridion and Scoutbee here to be positioned for finding suppliers you do not already know; we read the rest as scoring, enriching or watching the ones you have.

  2. Run the independence test. Who owns the vendor? Who invested? Do suppliers pay to appear? Can the data leave with you if you change suites?

  3. Check the connection. An SAP Store listing shortens the build. A documented API means engineering time. A file load means someone owns a spreadsheet.

  4. Ask for evidence, not a score. A shortlist you can defend in a category review needs a source beside each claim.

  5. Time the first shortlist. Have the vendor run one live category, then count how many candidates survived vetting.

Frequently asked questions

Does SAP Ariba find suppliers outside SAP Business Network?

Not through SAP Business Network Discovery. SAP’s help documentation describes Discovery as matching a buyer’s posting to suppliers who already hold a network profile, by category and ship-to location plus the supplier’s preferences, so a supplier with no profile cannot be matched. SAP announced Scoutbee Discovery, an app positioned around finding suppliers outside the network, as an SAP Endorsed App in February 2024.

Do suppliers pay to be on SAP Business Network?

Some do. SAP’s supplier pricing page and SAP Learning material describe a Standard account as free with unlimited document transactions, while Enterprise accounts carry a subscription fee plus a transaction fee of 0.155% to 0.35% of transaction value, with an annual cap of $20,000 for each buyer relationship, once a supplier crosses both 5 documents and $50,000 USD with one buyer in a rolling twelve months.

Is Scoutbee still an option for SAP Ariba?

SAP announced Scoutbee Discovery as an SAP Endorsed App in February 2024. Coupa announced an agreement to acquire Scoutbee on 6 October 2025, and Coupa’s release says Scoutbee’s search, dataset and collaboration tools will be folded into Coupa Sourcing, Contracts, source-to-pay and the Coupa Supplier Portal, “launching in early 2026”. Ask both vendors about the SAP Store listing.

How does an external shortlist get into SAP Ariba?

Through SAP’s documented APIs on SAP Business Accelerator Hub, onboarded via the SAP Ariba Developer Portal. SAP documents the Supplier Data API with Pagination as reading and updating registration, qualification and questionnaire data in SLP, and the Sourcing Project Management API as covering projects, events, bids and responses. Each integration is built on request.

Does Speya replace SAP Ariba?

No. Speya is not a source-to-pay suite and runs no sourcing events, contracts, purchase orders or invoices. It sits beside Ariba as the discovery and vetting layer, then hands a tiered shortlist with sources to Ariba through the API or a structured export, in an integration built on request.
