The platform, in brief.
Matchory is a German supplier data company. Its funding announcement describes it as an Ulm-based ProcureTech startup, and its own about page names Aiko Wiegand, Nils Liskien and Martin Konradi as co-founders. The Matchory homepage leads with “Know every supplier. Act on every opportunity.” and states 15M+ verified profiles, a merger engine that resolves record variants to one Matchory ID with 90%+ accuracy, and a traffic-light health view across financial, country, supply chain, compliance and ESG dimensions.
tech.eu reported on 22 January 2025 that Matchory “has successfully closed a €6 million seed extension funding round”, led by Capmont with Earlybird-X and angel investors; Matchory published the same round on its own newsroom. akirolabs announced a strategic partnership with Matchory on 29 April 2025, and the Matchory newsroom lists a partnership with EcoProcure dated 3 August 2026. We found no procurement suite or ERP vendor among its named investors or partners as of 3 September 2026.
The gap

In Speya’s assessment the two tools differ in the unit of work. The Matchory material describes finding, matching and cleaning supplier records, with health indicators beside them, and the buyer deciding what to do with the result.
Speya takes a case rather than a record. It reads a sourcing brief in plain language, searches millions of supplier profiles from 250+ data sources, has AI agents vet each candidate against certifications, financial health, ESG and sanctions with the source shown beside every finding, tiers the result, and can run the case to the end with Speya Auto.
We found no autonomous sourcing-case mode described on the Matchory site as of 3 September 2026. In Speya’s assessment that is a difference of scope rather than of quality: a team whose problem is one clean supplier record per company is buying something else, and Matchory says plainly that this is what it resolves.
