The platform, in brief.
Europages is a European business-to-business marketplace and company directory. Visable, the Hamburg company that operates it alongside wlw (wer liefert was), says on its about page that europages was founded in 1982 as “Euredit”, and went online in 1995.
Visable’s platforms page describes europages as “The leading B2B marketplace for European trade” and says it “speaks to professional buyers from all industries worldwide in 21 languages”. Its marketplaces page presents the two platforms together, with registered companies, monthly buyers and product and service listings across 111 industries. Visable describes its offer as “a unique combination of B2B marketplaces and online marketing services”.
On ownership, Visable announced in a press release dated 14 November 2023 that “Alibaba.com, a leading platform for global business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce and part of Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, is investing in Visable GmbH”. The release did not state the size of the investment, and we found no first-party statement of the current shareholding as of 3 September 2026.

Europages answers the question of where to look. The buyer enters a category or a keyword, reads company entries and makes contact, and the entries are created and maintained by the listed companies themselves.
As of 3 September 2026 we found no Europages feature that takes a sourcing brief in plain language, screens candidates against certifications, financial health, ESG and sanctions evidence, and returns a tiered shortlist with the sources beside every name.
Visable’s published figures cover its two European marketplaces, so a team sourcing outside Europe will usually need other sources as well.
Speya covers that ground differently. AI agents search millions of supplier profiles from 250+ data sources, including company registries, trade and customs data, financial filings and certifications, vet each candidate and return a tiered shortlist in minutes with evidence beside every name.
